Working at St Joseph’s

Compassionate care underpins our work and service at St Joseph’s Nursing Home. Even though not all of us are directly employed to care for residents, we all have an important role in ensuring that all people in our service receive our very best care and strive to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to care across the organisation.

We strive to make our workplace welcoming, affirming and enabling.

What we look for in our staff

St Joseph’s seeks employees who are passionate about the delivery of high-quality care to residents, whilst working within the framework of our Mission and Values by treating everyone with Compassion, Respect and Dignity. We believe that this can be achieved through behaviours that are:

  • Truthful, passionate and demonstrate honesty
  • Committed to the expectations of the organisation
  • Accountable and responsible.

We believe our staff are entitled to work in a safe and harmonious environment where everyone is treated equally with dignity and respect.

We welcome employment applications from people who may share St Joseph’s Missions and Values and are committed to the services of others whilst working within the ethical teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and its philosophy.

Staff are employed under the Diocese of Lismore Care Services Enterprise Agreement.
