Recommendations for Assisted Living Facilities regarding safer visits to residents during COVID-19 have been posted to DHS website

This bulletin is being sent to local health officers, tribal health directors, public health nurses and staff, and key DPH staff.

DHS's recommendations have been posted to the DHS COVID-19 Long-Term Care Facilities and Services page. This guidance is intended for facilities with no known or suspected COVID-19 cases.  The guidance includes preventive measures to reduce the chances of the introduction of COVID – 19 into the facility, while mitigating the unintentional consequences of social isolation from family and loved ones. For purposes of these recommendations, facilities include Community-Based Residential Facilities, Licensed Adult Family Homes and Residential Care Apartment Complexes.
