There are three park and ride sites operating in Scarborough on Armed Forces Day that will allow you to park up and get a bus into the centre of town.

A new, FREE temporary park and ride site will be opened on the day at playing fields between St Leonard’s Crescent and the old Scarborough to Whitby railway track, off Barrowcliff Road (Postcode for sat navs – YO12 6SR)

It will provide space for approximately 2,000 cars with buses to take people down to the seafront (Royal Albert Drive/Albert Road) operated by East Yorkshire Buses. It will then be an approximately 15 minute walk to the event.

The park and ride will be open between 9am and 8pm and will be signposted from Scalby Road.

Buses will run from Maple Drive every 15 minutes from 9am until 7.45pm with return buses leaving from Royal Albert Drive every 15 minutes from 9.20am until 8pm.

Tides

Please be mindful of the moving tides during the day, high tide is expected during the event so there may not be enough beach for everyone.
